Origin is a unique app designed to connect students living abroad with their families, enabling them to stay connected to their roots and traditions. The app allows users to organise their photos into shared albums and emphasises storytelling.

The design needed to facilitate easy photo organisation, seamless storytelling, and effortless collaboration, allowing users to share meaningful stories and maintain a strong emotional connection with their families despite geographical distances. Additionally, the design should evoke a sense of nostalgia and cultural heritage, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere within the app.

Our process began with in-depth user research and competitor analysis to understand the gaps in digital storytelling. Many users store thousands of photos on their mobile devices, but these images often lack context and personal narratives. Additionally, privacy concerns make sharing intimate family memories risky on traditional social media platforms.

Based on our research, we structured a user-friendly storytelling flow that guides users through an effortless experience of selecting, narrating, and sharing memories.

After finalizing the wireframes and UX flow, we focused on creating a visually inviting and emotionally engaging interface that enhances storytelling and family connections.
